Q. What are your custom cake prices?
A. Each cake is a work of art, and is created just for you. Cake prices will vary based on
flavor and filling, number of servings, and design or details. A consultation in person by appointment only, via email, or messenger will determine the cost of your cake and we can work with any budget. Typically wedding cakes range from $3.00-$4.50 per serving but can go up according to complexity and style.


Q. How much advance notice do you need to make a cake?

A. All cake orders are first come first served basis. Our calendar can become full up to a month in advance for weekends, however there are times of the year when we are busy and we book 2 months out for weekends as well as slower times when we have openings all month long. That being said please contact us as soon as you know your needed date. We can always settle on details of your exact design after the fact, but at least you will have opportunity to make a deposit to guarantee your date.


Q. Once I speak to you, is that a guarantee my cake will be made?

A. No. Your order becomes reserved only when a non-refundable booking retainer of $100.00 is paid. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation.


Q. What is your deposit amount?

A. Deposit amount is 50% of your total order, and is due on the INVOICE DATE which is 120 days prior to your wedding date. By paying your deposit, you also agree that if your order has not been picked up within 12 hours of your scheduled pickup time, and no other arrangement has been made by you in writing for pickup, and confirmed by us, that How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to sell your order to the first available buyer, and your deposit and or payments received by You, the ordering customer and/or the purchasing customer if any, WILL NOT be refunded and cannot be applied towards a future order. Exceptions to this policy for extenuating circumstances MAY be made at the sole discretion of How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.


Q. When is my final payment due for my wedding order?

A. Wedding orders must be paid in full 60 days prior to wedding date.


Q. What if I miss my final payment due date?
A. We will send a reminder email prior to your final payment due date. Wedding orders must be paid in full 60 days prior to wedding date as often parts of your cake are handmade and decorative items must be made or purchased far in advance of your event. If you miss your due date, we will send an additional reminder, with a 5 day grace period. A late fee of $50 will be assessed to your invoice balance if it is not paid 54 prior to your event and no arrangement has been made. At the 30 day mark, if your invoice is not paid, an additional $50 late charge will be assessed. Your invoice and order will be cancelled if not paid in full 3 weeks prior to your event, your order will not be made, and any funds paid will be forfeited. 

Q. Do you deliver?

A.  Yes, all wedding cakes can be delivered for an additional charge. Charge will be a flat rate based on cake size for larger cakes and or cakes requiring partial or full on site assembly within city limits starting at $40. Additional charge for mileage will apply outside of city limits.. If you choose to pick up your order, you will be asked to sign a waiver releasing How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop from any liability as the party picking up assumes full responsibility for ALL items upon receipt.

Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU (or your party), the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product upon acceptance as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). You understand that if we are unable to deliver your order due to negligence or improper planning by you, your venue, or your party, such as but not limited to: venue being closed, receiver being late and not notifying us, responsible recipient being unavailable, or location not being prepared; we will contact you or your designated party for advisement. However we reserve the right to leave with your order after 30 minutes if we have other delivery obligations to meet and no other arrangement for leaving your order is made. Your order would then be delivered after other delivery appointments have been completed. We will not be held responsible if we return after your event has started if the venue is not able to receive your order upon initial delivery at scheduled time.

Q. When Can I pickup my order?

A. Pickup times are available during normal business hours. 

*How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to leave pickup premises to meet delivery schedule obligations if you have not arrived, and have not contacted us to make other arrangements to pick up your cake at your scheduled and/or agreed upon time. You agree that if your order has not been picked up within 12 hours of your scheduled time, and no other arrangement has been made by you in writing for pickup, and confirmed by us, that How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to sell your order to the first available buyer, and your deposit and or payments received by You, the ordering customer and/or the purchasing customer if any, WILL NOT be refunded and cannot be applied towards a future order. Exceptions to this policy for extenuating circumstances MAY be made at the sole discretion of How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.


Q. What are your Candy buffet and Sweet Bar prices?

A. Candy Buffets and Sweet Bars can be customized to fit any budget as low as $50. Sweet Bars are based on the desserts you choose which are priced individually and then a bundle discount is applied. Candy Buffets are priced based on the quantity of candies chosen. A basic Candy Buffet includes 8 Candies, 18 Basic Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow pops and 18 Basic Pretzel Rods or Twists for $195. This includes jars, and dishes for sweets, labels, treat bags, set up and take down with any remaining sweets bagged or boxed up for you.


Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. Wedding orders cancelled within 30 days of wedding date forfeit any payment made.. This amount cannot be applied towards future orders as it is forfeited. In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled event date – please contact us to discuss options. We will make every effort to accommodate your new date but cannot guarantee availability. Communication is key, if you are up-front about any issues about your date we will work hard to accommodate you. We understand things can come up that are out of your control. Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances and only 50% deposit will be retained at the sole discretion of How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.

-Wedding orders require a deposit of 50% of the total amount due minus the $100 Booking Retainer be paid 120 days prior to wedding date or within 24 hours of invoice receipt if less than 120 days.

-Wedding orders require full payment of the balance due  be paid 60 days prior to wedding date. A late payment fee will be added if due date is missed and no arrangements are made with How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.

-WEDDING ORDERS NOT PAID IN FULL 21 DAYS PRIOR TO WEDDING DATE WILL BE CANCELLED 
AND ALL MONIES PAID WILL BE FORFEITED AS WE HAVE RESERVED THIS DATE FOR YOUR EVENT AND PURCHASED ALL NECESSARY MATERIALS AT THAT POINT.

-Wedding orders cancelled within 30 days of wedding date forfeit any payment made. 

-Wedding orders cancelled 31-60 days prior to wedding date will receive refund of payments 
made MINUS 20% of your order total and non-refundable $100 Booking Retainer to cover expenses made in preparation of your order. 

-Wedding orders cancelled 61-90 days prior to wedding date will receive refund of 
payments made MINUS 10% of your order total and non-refundable $100 Booking Retainer to 
cover expenses made in preparation of your order. 

-Wedding orders cancelled 91 days or more prior to wedding date will receive a full refund of any 
monies paid excluding the non-refundable Booking Retainer. 


-Refunds will be processed via PayPal or matching method of payment upon confirmed receipt of written notice of cancellation from customer. Please note PayPal can take 3-5 business days to post to your PayPal account.

Q. Do you have an allergen statement?

A. This is our general allergen statement printed on our product packaging, however your invoice will have a SPECIFIC ALLERGEN statement if there is any additional allergen risks. Please note we can work around most allergies to make your order safe for your consumption.


​ALLERGEN STATEMENT: Contains Milk or Cream, Wheat, Eggs, Soy & Almond Extract.

May also contain Tree Nuts, Berries, Citrus or Food Coloring.

Q. Once I speak to you, is that a guarantee my cake will be made?

A. No. Upon discussing your cake, your order/slot is not guaranteed until you make a deposit. Deposit should be made WITHIN 3 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF INVOICE, with the balance due on or before the DUE DATE. The deposit will guarantee your order. Any invoices which are sent and a deposit isn't paid, will be cancelled.


Q. What is your deposit amount?

A. We have 2 deposit options.

STD DEPOSIT: A $25 non-refundable "Save The Date" deposit will guarantee you a slot and a design session and will be applied to your total.

ORDER DEPOSIT: A deposit amount is 50% of your total order and is due 3 weeks prior to your order due date which will be your INVOICE DATE. By paying your deposit, you also agree that if your order has not been picked up within 12 hours of your scheduled time, and no other arrangement has been made by you in writing for pickup, and confirmed by us, that How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to sell your order to the first available buyer, and your deposit and or payments received by You, the ordering customer and/or the purchasing customer if any, WILL NOT be refunded and cannot be applied towards a future order. Exceptions to this policy for extenuating circumstances MAY be made at the sole discretion of How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.

Q. Do you deliver?

A.  Yes, within certain time frames your order can be delivered within city limits for an additional small charge ranging from $5 to $15 for up to 2 tiers on stacked cakes. Additional charge may apply for larger cakes and or cakes requiring partial or full on site assembly.  Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cakes Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product by you, your venue, or another in your party once accepted, as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). You understand that if we are unable to deliver your order due to negligence or improper planning by you, your venue, or your party, such as but not limited to: venue being closed, receiver being late and not notifying us, responsible recipient being unavailable, or location not being prepared; we will contact you or your designated party for advisement. However we reserve the right to leave with your order after 30 minutes if we have other delivery obligations to meet and no other arrangement for leaving your order is made. Your order would then be delivered after other delivery appointments have been completed. 

Q. When Can I pickup my order?

A. If you choose to pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for ALL items upon receipt. Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cakes Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product upon acceptance as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). Pickup times are scheduled during normal business hours or by appointment if needed outside of those hours. We will set up a convenient time for you. Pickup times are by appointment & set up around bakery's scheduled appointments & deliveries. Please be advised that if you cannot meet your scheduled pick up time, you may have to wait for How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop to return from a delivery or other appointment to pick up your order. Please notify How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop immediately if you will not arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled pickup time. 
• How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to leave pickup premises to meet delivery schedule obligations if you have not arrived, & have not contacted us to make other arrangements to pick up your cake at your scheduled &/or agreed upon time.

A. Cancellation policy is as follows and is listed on your invoice Terms and Conditions which you agree to by making a deposit.
Regular orders cancelled with 3 days notice or less from due date are not eligible for refund of deposit (i.e. Wednesday notice for a Saturday order). 


Regular orders cancelled 4-13 days prior to due date will receive refund of deposit minus 20% of total order to cover expenses made in preparation of your order. 


Regular orders cancelled with more than a 13 days notice will receive a full refund of deposit. 


Refunds on invoices will be  processed via your method of payment i.e. Cash or PayPal upon confirmed receipt of written notice from customer. Please note Credit Card Payments via PayPal can take 3-5 business days to post to your PayPal account. Note: your financial institution determines when refunds post to your account and you must contact them with questions regarding posting funds.
